Out of the corner of your eye.

Quickly. Before it even knows you’re looking.

You saw it didn’t you?

It’s always there you know. Watching you. Biding its time.

Hiding in the shadows. In the places people tend not to look at. Not properly anyway. Everyone is always so distracted. Silly, simple minds.

It knows you saw it. I don’t know yet whether or not that’s a good thing. Too late now though.

Who am I?

That doesn’t matter. I’m not the one you need to worry about.
